Ballot Information Mailed & Voting Open for 2026 Elections

Participation in tribal elections is an important responsibility of tribal citizens. By voting, tribal citizens help shape the future of Tlingit & Haida and ensure their community is represented in the governance of the Tribe.

Electronic ballot information for Tlingit & Haida’s 2026 Elections has been mailed. Information mailed includes voter Elector ID and password. Eligible tribal citizens who are registered to a community and have a mailing address on file will receive information. Tribal citizens will vote using secure electronic balloting via the Simply Voting website. 

Key Elections Dates

  • February 20 – Ballot Information Mailed
  • February 20 – Voting Opens at 8:00 AM (AKST)
  • February 20 – Voting Credentials Mailed
  • March 19 – Voting Closes at 4:30 PM (AKST)
  • March 20 – Unofficial Election Results Posted

A total of 192 tribal citizens have declared their candidacy for Delegate and/or Community Council member.

How to Cast Your Electronic Ballot

  1. Visit Simply Voting: Click Here
  2. Enter your Elector ID and Password, then click Login.
  3. Select the candidates you wish to vote for, then click Continue.
  4. Click Confirm to cast your ballot. Your vote is complete.

If you need support casting your electronic ballot, Community Elections Officials are available to help. Email CommunityNavigator@tlingitandhaida.gov or call 1.800.344.1432 to make an appointment. Please make sure to bring your ballot instructions with Elector ID and Password to the appointment.

If you do not receive your electronic ballot information by February 28, 2026, Tlingit & Haida may not have a current mailing address on file for you.
