Tlingit & Haida tribal citizens are vital to a successful government. Tribal citizens serve as Delegates and just as importantly serve on local Community Councils.
A Tlingit & Haida Community Council is a governing body of a recognized Tlingit & Haida community, composed of Delegates and any additional Community Council members elected by registered tribal citizens of the community.
A Community Council member is a tribal citizen who has been elected by voting members of a specific Community to serve on that Community’s governing council, as authorized under the Tlingit & Haida Constitution and the Community’s Constitution.
Only communities listed below are eligible to hold Community Council elections.
