We are proud to announce that Tlingit & Haida’s Community & Behavioral Services (CBS) Healing Center in Juneau, Alaska, has been awarded a three-year Accreditation from CARF International, the highest level of accreditation that can be given by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
The accreditation is more than a recognition—it’s a reflection of the Tribe’s commitment to culturally rooted healing and the strength of our people. Tlingit & Haida is proud to offer a space where tribal citizens and their families can find support, connection, and care that honors who we are.”
This is the second CARF accreditation awarded to the CBS Healing Center and marks a major milestone in our journey toward excellence. The Healing Center offers culturally grounded behavioral healing services to tribal citizens and their families, rooted in the values of Haa Kusti (Tlingit) and Tlagw íitl’ xíinangaa Gíidang (Haida). The program emphasizes holistic care that honors the mind, body, spirit, and ancestral connections while creating a safe place to heal.
CARF accreditation demonstrates that the CBS Healing Center meets internationally recognized standards of quality, accountability, and service effectiveness. The rigorous peer-review process included an in-depth on-site survey, affirming our commitment to cultural responsiveness, client-centered healing, and continuous improvement.
