In Loving Memory

Tlingit & Haida would like to pause and offer our deep respect to honor two extraordinary individuals whose lives were rooted in service, dedication, and love for their communities. James (Jim) W. Price devoted his life to the Tlingit & Haida people—uplifting generations through leadership, advocacy, and mentorship. Charlie Fale, Tlingit & Haida’s Supply Chain & Warehouse Manager, brought over two decades of expertise and a heart full of aloha to his work with the Tribe. Though both of their paths were different, both shared a commitment to empowering others, standing with integrity, and leaving the world better than they found it. We remember them with profound gratitude and love.

Honoring James Price
Honoring James (Jim) W. Price, Sha.aan, for his lifelong dedication to the Tlingit & Haida community. A proud Wooshkeetaan of the Aak’w Khwaan, Jim’s legacy spans decades—from joining the Alaska Native Brotherhood in 1962 to serving as one of the longest-standing Seattle Tlingit & Haida delegates. His leadership, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to Native rights, education, and governance have left an indelible mark.

Jim’s service with the Seattle Indian Center empowered countless Native students and professionals, fighting for equity and opportunity. His deep knowledge of parliamentary procedure, his role as a mentor, and his passion for tribal advocacy made him a respected and beloved figure. Honored as the 2019 Tribal Host, his legacy continues to inspire.

Gunalchéesh, Háw’aa, thank you Jim, for your years of service and dedication to our people. Your wisdom and leadership uplift us all.

Honoring Charlie Fale
It’s with great sadness to share we have lost one of our team members, Charlie Fale, Supply Chain & Warehouse Manager. Our deepest condolences are with Charlie’s family at this time.

Charlie joined Tlingit & Haida in 2022 and was promoted last year to Supply Chain & Warehouse Manager. In this role, he provided oversight of the supply chain and warehouse technicians, and mailroom operations.

Charlie brought over 25 years of experience in the warehousing field, complemented by an extensive background in the construction industry. We could always count on Charlie for top-notch customer service and flexibility to get things done. Charlie had an unwavering dedication to the Tribe and was a tremendous asset to our success.

Charlie graduated from Waipahu High School in Hawaii. He was proud of his Hawaiian and Samoan heritage.

Following his promotion last fall, Charlie shared he was grateful for the opportunity to take on a new role and looked forward to applying his years of experience to support the operations of the Tribe.
Please join us in remembering Charlie for all who he was. Mahalo Nui Loa and Fa’afetai Lava Charlie.
