Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is providing the following statement to clarify its federal contracting activities and longstanding areas of service. 

THTBC has more than 35 years of U.S. government contracting experience. The corporation’s capabilities include base operations support (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds maintenance, etc.), engineering and integration, IT and cybersecurity, port operations and aviation support. THTBC provides services to multiple federal agencies across more than 25 states. 

THTBC does not hold any contracts with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Immigration and Naturalization Service, or Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). 

All federal contracts awarded to THTBC can be viewed and verified on the government’s System for Award Management (SAM.gov). The corporation’s primary customers include the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and U.S. Air Force, as well as the Department of State. THTBC also holds significant subcontracts with NASA. 

Since 2018, THTBC has held a contract with the U.S. Navy at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This contract is strictly limited to the operation and maintenance of multiple watercraft and port facilities. The current contract expires in November 2027, and THTBC remains obligated to perform services as outlined until its completion. 

THTBC is responsible for pursuing federal contracts only after carefully evaluating them to ensure they do not conflict with the mission, vision or values of the Central Council of the Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska.

Revenue generated from THTBC’s federal contracts produces annual dividends that directly support the mission and programs of the Central Council of the Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska.
