Community Navigators are a local resource to help tribal citizens navigate and apply for programs and services (e.g., financial assistance, employment, training, and housing) and assists the Tribe’s Program Compliance (Tribal Enrollment) department with the coordination of tribal enrollment services.
All community navigators receive intensive training to learn about the Tribe’s services, programs, eligibility requirements, and application processes. They also receive specialized training on confidentiality, privacy and effective communication.
Support Services:
- Help navigating Tlingit & Haida’s services, as well as federal, state and local resources
- Application support
- Assistance with Tribal Enrollment Services including certifying birth certificates, notarizing documents and taking photos for Tribal ID applications.
