Emergency Assistance is provided to families who suffer burnout, flood or other destruction of home and loss or damage to personal possessions. Assistance covers essential needs, including food, clothing, shelter, and utilities. Approved payments may be issued up to a maximum of $1,500.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must reside in service area
- Must be enrolled in a federally-recognized Alaskan Native or American Indian tribe, provide verification they are eligible to enroll in a federally-recognized tribe, or provide a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) from the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).
- Must complete and submit an application
- Must have experienced and suffered a burnout, flood or other destruction of their home and loss or damage to personal possessions. Case worker must verify through documents and/or collateral contact.
