The Strength in Family program is a supportive and educational family visiting program right here in Juneau, Alaska, specifically designed for tribal citizen and Native American families.

That’s exactly what our family visiting program is for! Our Family Wellness coaches are here to support you every step of the way, helping you become the best parent you can be for your child.
Our dedicated coaches provide a wide range of support, including:
- Parenting support and skill-building: Learn new techniques and strategies.
- Child development insights: Understand your child’s milestones and growth.
- Child social and emotional development: Nurture your child’s emotional well-being.
- Prenatal and postpartum information: Support for new and expectant parents.
- Parent-driven child activities: Fun and engaging activities tailored to your child.
- Culturally enhanced activities: Connect with your heritage through meaningful experiences.
- Assistance in achieving family goals: Work towards what matters most to your family.
- Connection to community resources: Access valuable local support.
- Socialization events for families: Meet other families and build connections.

We offer flexible family visits for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-3. These visits can happen wherever you’re most comfortable – in your home, at our family room located in the Tlingit & Haida office (400 Willoughby Ave.), or even at a local park!
Eligibility Requirements:
- Child must be Alaska Native or American Indian and 0-3 years of age
- Child must be current on all recommended vaccinations per the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Parents or caregivers must be willing to meet with us on a regular basis
